Many in-network insurance plans reimburse physical therapy at rates that do not support true one-on-one care. As a result, patients at large clinics are often treated alongside two or three other patients at the same time, with limited direct access to their physical therapist.
When a practice goes in-network, the insurance company—not the clinician—often determines:
- How many visits you are allowed
- How long each visit can be
- Which treatments are considered “approved”
We have found that these restrictions frequently do not align with what is in the patient’s best interest.
By remaining out-of-network with certain insurers, we are able to provide:
- Longer, one-on-one appointments
- Advanced, individualized treatment
- Consistency of care with the same physical therapist each visit
- Treatment plans guided by clinical need—not insurance limitations
If you fall into the out-of-network category in the table above, your insurance will pay their portion of your out of network benefits. If you fall into our self-pay category, many self pay patients receive partial reimbursement, depending on their plan.
